Thrive Outside Nature Therapy offers the following research-informed and positive psychology and expressive therapy approaches: Sandtherapy, CBT, Child Centered Play Therapy, Solution Focused, Polyvagal Therapy, Art Therapy, and Nature Therapy
Nature Therapy
Nature-based therapy (NBT) incorporates your relationship with the natural world into various counselling interventions. Nature is used as a metaphor to self-reflect, explore, and enhance self-awareness and healing. Practices include: mindfulness, sensory awareness, focus on belonging, and a somatic sensory attention on the body that is restorative and regulating.

Options include walking the TFN Boardwalk, Centennial Beach Trails, or Fred Gingell Stairs in Tsawwassen.

Art Therapy

Art therapy combines the creative process of art and psychotherapy to facilitate self-exploration, reflection, and self-understanding. Imagery, color, and shape is used as metaphor to therapeutically express emotions and narratives.

Pick from a variety of art mediums you enjoy like drawing, painting, beading, origami, clay-work, or 3D pen! Each activity is uniquely adapted for any age and ability, so therapy is interesting, meaningful, and healing.
