Nature Therapy

Nature-based Therapy integrates your relationship with the natural world into the clinical process. By using nature as a metaphor for self-reflection, we enhance self-awareness and emotional regulation through mindfulness, sensory grounding, and somatic restorative practices.

 Art Therapy

Art therapy integrates the creative process with psychotherapy to facilitate self-discovery and emotional expression. By using imagery, color, and shape as metaphors, we can give a voice to narratives that words sometimes cannot reach. Choose from a variety of mediums—including drawing, collage mixed media, painting, clay-work, beading, origami, or 3D pen. Every activity is uniquely adapted for any age or ability, ensuring therapy is meaningful, tactile, and healing.

Yoga and Mindfulness

Natasha is a certified yoga instructor offering private in-person and online sessions. Whether you choose Yin or Hatha Flow, each class is individually tailored to your physical, emotional, and  needs—creating a therapeutic space that is restorative, grounding, and enjoyable.

Play Therapy

Play is the natural language of children and nature is their most powerful teacher. At Thrive Outside, play therapy allows children to process big emotions and life experiences in a way that feels safe and natural. Natasha uses toys, art, music, movement, and the natural world to help your child communicate, heal, and thrive.

  • Child-Led (Non-Directive): Your child takes the lead, exploring the woods or the playroom at their own pace to build confidence and autonomy.

  • Guided (Directive): Natasha uses specific nature-based activities or games to help your child develop coping skills, social tools, or emotional regulation

Sand Therapy: A World in a Tray

Sand is a grounding, primordial material that adds a powerful sensory layer to the healing process. Using figurines and natural objects, the tray becomes a protected space for focused internal work—allowing big feelings to be safely expressed and processed, when words are not enough.

  • Sensory Regulation: The act of handling sand naturally lowers stress and calms the nervous system, which is particularly supportive for neurodiverse clients.

  • Symbolic Communication: Clients of all ages can use the sand to build scenes that reflect their inner thoughts and feelings figuratively and symbolically.
